The Rite Journey is a well-regarded program designed to support the emotional, social, and spiritual growth of adolescents, typically implemented in schools. Its primary focus is on guiding young people through the important transition from childhood to adulthood, using a structured and intentional framework inspired by traditional rites of passage.
The Rite Journey camp was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. It was a perfect blend of fun, connection, and personal growth. Spending time with my friends in such a wholesome environment brought us even closer, and we created memories that I will treasure forever. Whether it was through challenging activities, heartfelt conversations, or simply enjoying each other’s company, every moment felt meaningful and special. The camp wasn’t just about having fun—it was about stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing new experiences with the support of my peers. It’s an experience I’ll always hold close to my heart.
For my mentor project as part of The Rite Journey, I had the incredible opportunity to plan and go on a trip to Sydney with my mentor, Anita. Over four unforgettable days, we explored some of the most iconic places the city has to offer, including the Opera House, the bustling city streets, and the breathtaking Blue Mountains. The trip was filled with exciting activities, meaningful conversations, and so much fun. It wasn’t just about seeing amazing sights—it was about learning, growing, and building a stronger bond with my mentor.
As I look ahead to the rest of this year, I know I’ll deeply miss The Rite Journey camp and everything it brought into my life. It was a rare opportunity to disconnect from everyday routines and connect on a deeper level with my friends and myself. The sense of belonging, the shared laughter, and the wholesome moments we created together made it truly special. Without the camp, this year feels like it’s missing a space where we could step away from the pressures of life and just be present. I’ll carry the lessons and memories from the camp with me, but I know I’ll always long for the unique magic of those days.
