2024 has started and has started good. Year 8 was fun, I had a good class. ‘One of the closest classes, I have EVER had’ is something my home class teacher said. Sometimes a naughty class but a very close one, ‘like a family’. I had good classes like photography, food tech, jewellery design and digital technologies. I was a year 8 house captain and had so many fun opportunities including going to other schools. I got to run events, go to places like AFL Max and do so many other things. This year was a pretty spectacular year, with heaps and heaps of memories made. This year, 2023 will not be forgotten!
Sports Day was a major highlight this year as it was my first one in high school. I was, unfortunately, unable to attend last year because I was interstate for an Inline Hockey competition. Although for my first, I am a year 8 house captain, so it made it even more special And.. this year's sports day... we won!! My team won the day. We are now on a 3-year streak. Go, Kavanagh!
Camp was a highlight of this year. It was a fun 3 days. I went camping with my friends, we went fishing, cooked food, built rafts, went surfing and did heaps of other activities.
The last day of school was not the happiest or saddest of days. But, it is a major highlight... Some happy bits were that we finished year 8 off with a bang, everyone was happy and healthy and it was such a good day. Some sad bits were some of my friends won't be returning next year, as they will be moving schools. One of my closest friends at school, Nahla, will also be moving. I know I haven't known her for that long only since the start of year 7. So 2 years, we have become close in that time and I will miss her so much. School won't be the same without her.
