In 2023 I joined the Marion's Youth Collective Committee. It was an amazing experience for me and I had so much fun with the 2023 cohort, we made some incredible memories. We run so many super cool events that go from eating with blindfolds to an insane Battle of The Bands. I have been in magazines, been able to host events, and been to award nights!! 2023, being my first year with the YCC was incredible and I will miss the 2023 cohort so much but hopefully, 2024 will be one to remember.
This is the Marion YCC's podcast, called Voice It! It was at the start of 2024.

The 7 News Young Achievers night was incredible. It's one of my favourite moments on the committee so far. It was amazing, the YCC even won an award, The Spirit Super Award! We got to meet the premier of South Australia, Peter Malinauskas and got a photo with him. It was one of my first award nights and it was just an unbelieve experience.
Battle of the BANDS (BOTB) was a very close second to my favourite moments on the committee. It was a wonderful event where young bands got to showcase what they had to offer. There was a school-based category and an open-based based. I was lucky enough to be one of the MCs for the open-based category along with a good friend of mine, Zane. Overall it was super fun to be able to do something like that.
Planning day was scary! Well, the start of it was. I was so scared because I didn't know anyone and because I decided to go for Chairperson! I had no idea if anyone would vote for me or like me, what it would even be like. But I met some of the most supportive people, even though I wasn't voted chair, I was so lucky to be voted vice chair. It was so good to meet this amazing group of people.
